The Kentucky Lake Bass Anglers are a group of about 40 bass fishing enthusiast who are interested not only in bass fishing, but also helping the sport grow and to protect the game fish. It also makes donations to charity groups in the area such as this year contributing to the fire departments and the food pantry. KLBA had its awards banquet Jan 15 at Four Seasons. The top 6 anglers who will fish in the Tn Bass Federation state tournament were announced. The winners were:
- True, Wayne
- Patterson, Bill
- Cardwell, Carl
- Haynes, Michael
- True, Doug
- Demoss, Tony
The kids who fished the club's Kids Tournament during the summer were given their trophies. (Sorry I don't have their names but there about 15 winners in different age brackets.)
The Mr Bass award was given to Ricky Collins for winning the Top 12 tournament in October 2010.
Awards were also given for the largest of 3 major bass species caught by members of the club. Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted bass. In addition Perch Patterson received the award for heaviest bag during a tournament. (19+lbs)

The club will be assisting the TWRA with a lake enhancement program of placing Christmas trees for fish attractors. Several club members volunteered to be a part of that program.
Each year the KLBA host the Strike King Open the 2nd Saturday in June. KLBA made plans for this year's Strike King Tournament to be held at Pebble Isle Marina on June 11. Club members will be contacting area business for sponsors and should have the sponsors information in by April 7 for the printing of the brochure. Anyone who wants to be part of the sponsorship of the tournament should contact a KLBA member for information. Sponsorships are $200, $100, $75. Any sponsor who wishes to donate door prizes will have their name mentioned at the weigh-in.
Congrats to KLBA member Dickie Eden for placing 2nd place in the TBF state tournament. Dickie will be fishing the The Bass Federation Regional tournament in April. Good Luck Dickie!
